Allison Gulch Falls | Angeles National Forest, CA

The Allison Gulch Falls  is a hidden place in the San Gabriel Mountains , near Los Angeles . Most people go to the Bridge to Nowhere , but they do not know the existence of this beautiful waterfall . The main reason is that there is no marked path. The route begins at the East Fork Parking Lot . Keep in mind that this is a popular spot. It is best to arrive early if you want to park here. The trail is mostly gradual and follows the West Fork of the San Gabriel River . Some sections of the trail require crossing the riverbed. 📌 Remnants of the partially built East Fork Road are still visible in some sections of the trail. San Gabriel River After walk about three miles, you will arrive at Allison Gulch . It's the next major tributary after Laurel Gulch.  Allison Gulch plunges steeply from mighty Iron Mountain before merging with the East Fork San Gabriel River .  Now, we leave the main road and go up along Allison Gulch . El Dorado Nature Center is an oasis in the middle of the city. Located on the banks of the San Gabriel Rive r, it is a great place to get some fresh air and walking. There are trails around the two lakes and forested areas. There's plenty of benches along the trails so you can sit, rest and relax. El Dorado Nature Center provides a perfect place for families and kids of all ages to learn about wildlife. You can see different animals as you walk: squirrels , ducks , ospreys and turtles .
